Sports Ball Cookies

Supplies used:
Sports Ball Cookie Cutter Texture Set
white rolled fondant
black rolled fondant
yellow/green rolled fondant
terra cotta rolled fondant
Icing required: Prepare run sugar in the following colors. White, black, and red.

Instructions:
Basketball: Using terra cotta rolled fondant, make top from basketball texture sheet. Attach to the cookie with piping gel. Pipe basketball lines using black run sugar.
Golf Ball: Using white rolled fondant, make top from golf ball texture sheet. Attach to the cookie with piping gel.
Eight Ball: Using black rolled fondant, make top from eight ball texture sheet. With a 1″ cutter, remove the circle. Attach the black top to the cookie with piping gel. Using white rolled fondant, make the circle from the eight ball texture sheet. Cut the circle with a 1″ cutter and fill in the empty area on the cookie. Fill in the recessed eight using black run sugar.
Tennis Ball: Using yellow/green rolled fondant, make top from tennis ball texture sheet. Attach to the cookie with piping gel. Pipe lines using white run sugar.
Volleyball: Using white rolled fondant, make top from volleyball texture sheet. Attach to the cookie with piping gel.
Soccer Ball: Using white rolled fondant, make top from soccer ball texture sheet. Attach to the cookie with piping gel. Fill in the recessed area using black run sugar.
Baseball: Using white rolled fondant, make top from baseball texture sheet. Attach to the cookie with piping gel. Piped over the raised stitching lines using red run sugar.

Pirate Cookies

palm tree cookie cutter
parrot cookie cutter
skull and crossbones cookie cutter
beach towel cookie cutter (map)
school bus cookie cutter (bottom of cannon)
red food color
orange food color
yellow food color
leaf green food color
sky blue food color
purple food color
brown food color
black food color
brown food color marker
moonstone silver luster dust
old gold luster dust
grain alcohol
Icing required: Prepare run sugar icing in the following colors: white, red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, light blue, blue, purple, light brown, brown, gold (mixing yellow with a bit of orange), black.

Special Baking Instructions:
The treasure chest and pirate hat was hand cut following a pattern using card stock. The cannon was made by using a school bus cutter. Cut the top fourth off of the bus and angle the front to rest the cannon. The cannon was hand cut following a pattern using card stock. The two were pieced together before being baked.

Instructions:
Parrot: Outline the parrot and all the details with black run sugar icing. Allow the outline to set. Fill in the beak with orange run sugar icing. Fill the face with white run sugar icing. Allow the face to set. Pipe a dot with black run sugar icing. Fill in the back feathers with red, yellow and blue run sugar icing. Fill in the head and body with red, yellow and blue run sugar icing and immediately marbleize.
Skull and crossbones: Outline the skull and bones with black run sugar icing. Outline the mouth black run sugar icing. Outline and fill the eyes with black run sugar icing. Allow the black outlines to set. Fill in the outlines with white run sugar icing.
Palm tree: Outline each palm and the trunk with black run sugar icing. Allow the outlines to set. Fill in the trunk with brown run sugar icing. Fill in the palms half with light green and half with green. Immediately marble.
Cannon: Outline the cannon and all the details with black run sugar icing. Allow the outlines to set. Fill in the bottom part with brown run sugar icing. Fill in the center of the wheels and the handle with white run sugar icing. Allow to set. Paint the center of the wheels and the handle with moonstone silver dust mixed with grain alcohol. Fill in the top part of the cannon with black run sugar icing.
Pirate hat: Outline the pirate hat with black run sugar icing. Allow the black outline to set. Fill in the outline with black run sugar icing. Pipe the skull and crossbones using white run sugar icing.
Map: Outline the map and the island using black run sugar icing. Allow the black outlines to set. Fill in the rolled part of the map with white run sugar. Fill in the background of the map with light blue run sugar icing. Fill in the island with ivory run sugar icing. Immediately pipe the mountain using purple and white run sugar. Immediately pipe the palm trees using green and brown run sugar icing. Allow the island to set. Pipe an X using red run sugar. Draw the dashed lines using a brown food color marker.

Rock and Roll Cookies

flesh food color
brown food color
silver dusting powder

Icing required: Prepare run sugar icing in the following colors: white, flesh, red, orange, yellow, blue, purple, and black. Prepare royal icing in the following colors: grey.

Special Baking Instructions: Trim the thumb, second, and third fingers off of the hand cookie to create a metal rock hand salute cookie.

Instructions:
Music note cookies: Outline and fill the music note cookies with the desired colors of run sugar.
Star cookies: Outline the stars with black run sugar. Outline the center of the stars with black run sugar. Allow the outlines to set completely. Fill in the outlines with desired colors of run sugar.
Metal rock hand salute cookie: Outline the hand, fingers, and fingernails of the hand cookie. Allow the outline to set completely. When set, fill in the hand and finger outlines with flesh food color. Fill in the fingernails with black run sugar.
Rock and roll heart: Outline the banner of the heart with black run sugar. Outline the heart with black run sugar. Outline the wings and wing details with black run sugar. Allow the outlines to set completely. Fill in the wings and the banner with white run sugar. Fill in the heart with red run sugar. Allow the icing to set completely. When the white is set, write on the banner using a black food color marker.
Guitar: Outline the guitar with black run sugar. Some of the guitars have white in the background. If this is desired, outline the white area as well. Allow the outline to set completely. Fill in the stem of the guitar with brown run sugar. Fill in the guitar with desired colors of run sugar. The guitar can be marbleized to create a fire design. Allow the guitar to set completely. When the icing has set, pipe dots for the guitar buttons and tuning knobs using white run sugar. Pipe white rectangles to hold the strings. Allow the rectangles and white dots to harden. When hardened, mix moonstone dusting powder with grain alcohol to create a paint. Paint the rectangles and dots. Pipe fine strings with grey royal icing using a pastry bag fitted with tip #0.

Kitties and Mice Cookies

Supplies used:
cat face cookie cutter
mouse cookie cutter
paw print cookie cutter
black food color
orange food color
yellow food color
deep pink food color

Icing required: Prepare run sugar icing in the following colors: orange, grey (small amount of black added to white icing), light pink, dark pink, yellow, white, black. Prepare royal icing in black and dark orange.

Instructions:
Cat Face Cookies: Outline the cat face cookies with black run sugar icing. Allow the outline to dry. Pipe white triangles in the center of the cat’s ears. Allow the white to dry before piping the adjoining face color. Fill in the cats nose outline with white dark pink run sugar. Fill in the cat’s chin/mouth area with white run sugar icing. Fill in the cat’s face with desired run sugar colors. Shown are black, grey, yellow, and orange. Allow the filled area to set completely. When the cat faces have set, piped on the eyes with black run sugar. Pipe the whiskers and tiger stripe details with black (or dark orange) royal icing in a pastry bag fitted with a #1 tip.
Mice Cookies: Outline the mice cookies with black run sugar icing. Pipe in a teardrop shape in the center of the mouse’s ear with light pink run sugar. Allow the black outline and the light pink ear to dry. Fill in the mice outline with grey or white run sugar icing. Allow the mice to set completely. When the mice are set, piped on the eyes with black run sugar and the nose with light pink run sugar.
Paw print Cookies: Outline the paw print cookies with black run sugar icing. Fill in the mice outline with desired run sugar icing. Allow the paw prints to set completely. When the background color of the paw print is set, outline the details of the paw print. Allow the outline to dry. When the outline is dry, fill in the details with light pink or black run sugar icing.

Peace and Love Cookies

Supplies used:
flower cookie cutter
round cookie cutter
school bus cookie cutter
electric pink food color
electric orange food color
electric yellow food color
electric green food color
electric blue food color
black food color
Icing required: Prepare royal icing and run sugar icing in the following colors: white, electric pink, electric orange, electric yellow, electric green, electric blue, grey (mix a small amount of black food color with white) and black.

Special Baking Instructions:
Cut the hippy van using a school bus cutter. Cut off the tires and set aside. Cut off the front of the school bus. Cut the top of the bus at an angle. Shift the tires to fit the new design.

Instructions:
Flower Cookies: Outline the flower with black run sugar. Outline the center of the flower with black run sugar. Allow the outline to set completely. Fill the outlines with desired colors run sugar.
Happy Face cookies: Outline the round cookie with black run sugar. Allow the outline to set completely. Fill the outline with yellow run sugar. Allow the yellow to set completely. Pipe details with black royal icing.
Hippy van cookies: Outline the tires and tire hubcap with black run sugar. Outline the van with black run sugar. Outline the windows of the van and the rear bumper with black run sugar. Allow the outlines to set completely. Fill in the windows and the rear bumper with grey run sugar. Fill in the tires with black run sugar. Fill in the hubcaps with desired color. Fill in the van body with white at the top and a contrasting color on the bottom. Allow the icing to set completely. When the icing is set, pipe flower and “love” details with desired colors of royal icing using a pastry bag fitted with a #1 tip.
Peace sign cookies: Outline the round cookie with black run sugar. Allow the outline to set completely. Fill the outline with yellow run sugar. Immediately pipe rings of run sugar colors and marbleize. Allow the marbled design to set completely. Outline the peace sign with black run sugar icing. Allow the peace sign outline to dry completely. When the outline is set, fill in the outline with desired color of run sugar.

Jungle Animal Faces Cookies

Supplies used:
yellow candy coating
green dot chocolate transfer sheet
jungle animal faces royal icing decorations

Instructions:
Melt yellow candy coating. Reserve a small amount and pour in a parchment cone. Keep filled parchment cone in a heating pad to keep the candy coating from setting up. Dip sandwich cookies into the yellow candy coating. Place transfer sheet on dipped treat, textured side down. Allow to set. Peel back design. Attach royal icing faces with melted candy coating.

*zebra cookie is made by cutting the giraffe cutter down in the neck
Icing Required: Prepare run sugar icing in the following colors: white, pink, yellow, orange, light orange, light green, green, light blue, blue, brown, ivory, black, and grey. Prepare royal icing in black.

Instructions:
Zebra Cookies: Outline and fill the zebra with white run sugar leaving the nose, mane, ears, and inside legs uniced. Allow to set completely. Add the inside legs. Allow to set completely. Pipe on the black stripes using black run sugar. Pipe the feet using black run sugar icing. Pipe the nose using grey run sugar icing. Allow to set. Pipe the inside of the ears using pink run sugar. Allow to set. Pipe the outside of the ears using black run sugar. Pipe the mane, nose, mouth, and eyes using black royal icing.
Giraffe Cookies: Outline and fill the giraffe with yellow run sugar leaving the nose, mane, ears, and inside legs uniced. Immediately add dots using light orange run sugar. Allow to set completely. Add the inside legs. Pipe the nose using white run sugar icing. Allow to set. Pipe the inside of the ears using pink run sugar. Allow to set. Pipe the outside of the ears using yellow run sugar. Pipe the mane using brown run sugar. Pipe the nose, mouth, and eyes using black royal icing. Pipe the ossicones (hones) using ivory run sugar icing.
Elephant Cookies: Outline and fill the elephant with blue run sugar leaving the inside legs uniced. Immediately add dots using white run sugar. Allow to set completely. Add the inside legs. Pipe the ears with light blue run sugar. Pipe the eye using black royal icing.
Alligator Cookies: Outline and fill the alligator with green run sugar leaving the inside legs uniced. Immediately add dots and the underside of his belly using light green run sugar. Allow to set completely. Add the inside legs. Pipe the eye using black royal icing. Pipe the teeth using white run sugar icing.
Lion Cookies: Outline and fill the lion’s body with light orange run sugar leaving scallop for the mane and inside legs uniced. Allow to set completely. Add the inside legs. Add the mane with orange run sugar. Allow to set. Pipe the face with light orange and white run sugar. Allow to set. Pipe the nose using brown run sugar icing. Pipe the mouth and eyes using black royal icing. Pipe the inside of the ears using pink run sugar. Allow to set. Pipe the outside of the ears using light orange run sugar.
Monkey Cookies: Outline and fill the monkey’s body with brown run sugar. Immediately add an ivory belly. Allow to set. Outline and fill the monkey’s head with brown run sugar. Immediately add an ivory face. Allow to set. Pipe the eyes, nose, and mouth using black royal icing. Pipe the inside of the ears using pink run sugar. Allow to set. Pipe the outside of the ears using brown run sugar.
